Help FAQ

Below you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions regarding this website. If you have a question about CatChow.com that is not addressed here, please feel free to contact our Webmaster.

Who are the mentors, how were they selected, and what are their qualifications?
The Purina® Cat Chow® mentors—Amy Shojai, Dr. Steffen Stacey Runquist, Dr. Debbie Horwitz, and Dr. Janet Jackson—are specialists in cat care. We've selected them because they're as dedicated to complete cat care as we are. To learn more about their qualifications, read their biographies on the Your Mentor Program page.

I submitted a question to my mentor, but it wasn't answered. Will it be answered in the future? Can I resubmit my question?
The mentors get many questions every week from concerned cat owners like you. Each mentor will respond to about five questions a week and they will try their best to answer the most diverse set of questions. There is no need to resubmit your question; we will respond to each question by e-mail. However, in the meantime, you might find the answers you're looking for in our archive of previously answered mentor questions or in our Cat Care Library.

Where do the articles in the Cat Care Library come from?
The articles in the Cat Care Library come from Purina's vast store of information written by experts on pet care. We have pulled together some of the best articles on cat care to help you better understand, care for, and live with your cat. We're continually adding more articles to the Library, so check back often!

What do I do if I have a specific health-related question about my cat?
We strongly encourage you to talk to your veterinarian.

While CatChow.com is an excellent resource of information provided by cat care experts, your veterinarian can provide the best care for your individual cat.
